SpringSpirit

SpringSpirit provides pathways for youth to realize life opportunities through sports, education, and mentoring programs based on Christian principles.

Michael was a founding board member of SpringSpirit. He oversaw the development of its campus and was honored to serve in their mentorship program for many years.

Duchesne Academy Scholarship Fund

Duchesne Academy inspires and prepares young women to engage in a lifelong pursuit of their faith in God, intellectual vitality, social awareness and action, building of community and personal growth, in the living tradition of Sacred Heart education. Your donation will support financial aid scholarships for students at Duchesne.

Michael was a proud Duchesne dad from 1994 until 2010, and then served on its Board of Trustees from 2015 until this year.

Duchesne Academy Booster Club

Duchesne’s Booster Club provides student-athletes with the resources necessary to develop and maintain outstanding athletic teams for each sport, and supports the development of our girls in the classroom, on the field, and at home.

Michael revived Duchesne’s Booster Club while Caitlin and Skye were in school and started the Junior Sports Program at Duchesne. He continued to serve as Booster Club President for years after his girls had both graduated and had a deep love for and appreciation of youth sports.

Lani’s Lucky Shepherds of Houston

Lani's Lucky Shepherd Rescue makes the world around us a better, happier place by saving Houston area German Shepherd Dogs from neglect, abuse, abandonment and euthanization. Every Lucky Shepherd receives proper medical care, nourishment and the socialization needed to discover a new life without hunger, sickness, loneliness, or fear.

Michael and Julia adopted their beloved shepherd Ajax through Lani’s Lucky Shepherds earlier this year.

Texas Wildlife Association Foundation

TWAF provides ethical environmental education about wildlife and habitat conservation to Texans of all ages. The Texas Wildlife Association Foundation, Inc. increases natural resource literacy and promotes conservation and educational programs that connect Texans to the land.

Michael was a lifelong outdoorsman and hunter, and recognized the importance of habitat conservation and wildlife management.
